Sam Arseneau is the Founder and CEO of SupportMyMac, an Ottawa-based firm that delivers problem-free IT to Canadian and US companies. SupportMyMac focuses on optimizing their clients’ Apple ecosystems, leaving their clients free to focus on scaling their businesses. Their proven five-step process ensures consistent uptime and reliability for a wide range of satisfied customers from non-profits to tech firms, including Canada Post, the Federal Government of Canada, Community Foundations of Canada, Department of National Defence, Noibu, Knak, and Rewind to name a few.
In 2006, while a student and campus Apple rep at the University of Ottawa, Sam installed an Apple network at his uncle’s pharmacy. That’s when Sam realized his passion for Apple products could become a business, and SupportMyMac was born. From one employee working in his basement, reliant on the OC Transpo limo, the firm went on to win Ottawa’s Fastest Growing Companies Award from the Ottawa Business Journal in 2015.
Since day one, SupportMyMac has aligned with Apple’s approach to business, valuing their focus on privacy, security, and usability. These qualities—paired with a commitment to simplicity and productivity—are the core reasons the company specializes exclusively in Apple products. They believe in saying yes only when it truly benefits their clients, which often means carefully selecting and refining solutions to ensure they fit well within Apple’s ecosystem. By partnering with teams that share these values, SupportMyMac is able to help keep their technology running smoothly, making sure their Apple devices remain an asset to their work. Today Sam is looking to grow SupportMyMac into the leading Apple-focused MSP in North America.
When he’s not creating tech solutions, Sam volunteers with the Ottawa Mission and his local church, and nurtures the next generation of business leaders at Algonquin College.
