Blair Wiley

Blair Wiley is the Chief Legal Officer of Wealthsimple, where he is responsible for its legal, compliance, and regulatory innovation strategy. Since joining in 2019, Blair has led many firsts in Canada including, the first to offer a mobile-first stock trading platform; the first regulated crypto trading platform; the first non-bank to be approved for a direct settlement account with the Bank of Canada and the first non-bank member of Interac.

Blair is a passionate supporter of Canada’s innovation sector and has served as an advisor, mentor and coach to many Canadian organizations including Creative Destruction Labs, Web3 Canada, the Ontario Securities Commission, and more. Prior to joining Wealthsimple, Blair was a partner at the law firm of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. Blair studied at University of Waterloo and Osgoode Hall Law School.
