Ray Rashed

Ray Rashed is a Managing Director with RBCx, leading the Ontario market and supporting high-growth technology and innovation companies across the province. He works closely with founders, executives, investors, and ecosystem partners to help businesses scale through tailored banking solutions, strategic connections, and growth-focused advice.

A passionate advocate for the innovation economy, Ray has spent his career working with companies at various stages of growth. Prior to his banking career, he was an entrepreneur who owned and operated his own restaurant, giving him firsthand experience with the opportunities and challenges of building a business. Since joining RBC, he has played a key role in expanding the bank’s presence in the technology sector, helping build and grow RBCx’s relationships within Canada’s innovation ecosystem.

Outside of work, Ray enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Aniseh, and their three daughters, Jasmine, Lily, and Sofia. A dedicated fitness enthusiast, he starts most days with an early-morning workout and enjoys unwinding with podcasts and movies in his spare time. That entrepreneurial experience is particularly relevant in the RBCx world because founders tend to connect more readily with bankers who have operated a business themselves, not just advised them from the outside.
