Chase Irwin is a partner in the Corporate, Securities and Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies practice groups of the Dentons Ottawa office. Chase’s practice focuses primarily on corporate law and transactional matters in the technology sector, including corporate finance and venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private placements and a broad range of securities, commercial and business law matters, with an emphasis on emerging growth companies. Chase has significant industry experience in the technology and venture capital sectors, and regularly advises high-growth, knowledge-based and emerging technology companies, as well as the venture capital funds and investors that finance them, in all stages of growth through to exit, with a particular emphasis on venture financing, capital raising and exit strategies.
As co-leader of the Dentons Canada Startup Program, Chase extensively advises founders, entrepreneurs and companies at every stage of startup company formation and growth. He has been instrumental in the successful launch and growth of many emerging technology companies across Canada. In addition to helping companies scale, Chase also works extensively with many of Canada’s leading technology accelerators, venture capital firms and other institutional and angel investors.
