Robert Percival is a technology, sourcing and information security lawyer based in Toronto.
Mr. Percival’s practice is principally devoted to commercial and corporate transactions, with an emphasis on technology sector transactions. He has extensive experience advising clients on a wide array of complex and large-scale information technology / intellectual property transactions across a broad range of industries, including outsourcing, cloud computing, strategic alliances, technology acquisition and transfer, M&A, procurement, licensing, distribution, open source software, privacy and data protection, cyber-security, electronic commerce and the Internet.
He is a past director of the Canadian Information Technology Law Association and has also been an adjunct professor of Internet and IT law at the University of Victoria. Mr. Percival has over 25 years’ legal and business experience in the technology sector.
