Laura Silvester


Laura Silvester is Director, Ecosystem at Hootsuite where she leads the company’s efforts to build a thriving ecosystem of developers and enterprise apps & integrations. She believes that platform APIs and the surrounding ecosystem enable innovation and create opportunity for all of the developers, partners, and customers in Hootsuite’s community. She sees partnerships and ecosystems as the future of our economy. Previously, Laura held roles in eCommerce, strategy, and operations at lululemon athletica, McKinsey & Company, and HSBC Bank Canada.

Laura is a life-long learner and is passionate about paying it forward. She is the co-founder of Sauder: In Real Life, an alumni-led tutorial on leadership, strategy, and integrated decision-making at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia.

Laura recently took on her greatest leadership role to date: parenthood. She lives in Vancouver and enjoys travelling, biking, hiking, reading, and storytime.
