Eli has been a technology entrepreneur for the past 30 years. He was the co-founder and co-CEO of Chide.it inc., an Internet software company offering Software as a service (SaaS) online products based on collaborative feedback including: Fluidsurveys, an online survey tool and ReviewRoom, an online application management tool. Eli is currently the CEO of MindBridge Analytics Inc. (formerly Squanto), an automated analytics platform.
Eli has been involved with the community in general and the high tech community in particular by serving on a number of Boards including: Community Foundation Ottawa (CFO) starting in 2012, Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County from 2009 and Canadian Advanced Technology Association (CATA) since 2006. Eli serves on the Advisory Committee of the Faculty of Engineering’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Endowment Fund (EIEF) since 2008. Eli is the Chair and cofounder of the annual Corporate and Community Social Responsibility Conference that was held since 2008 at Algonquin College in Ottawa www.ccsr-conference.com. Eli also serves on the Board of C-Com, a publicly traded company on the TSX-V since 2008.
Eli had previously served on the Boards of Ottawa Center for Research and Innovation (OCRI) from 1999 to 2007, Ottawa Chamber of Commerce (OCC) from 2004 to 2009 and the Ottawa Community Loan Fund (OCLF) from 2008 to 2012. Eli has been involved in a number of task forces including chairing the Ottawa Gatineau Commercialization Task Force, participated on the CATA outsourcing and commercialization committees, a member of the Conference Board of Canada Leader’s Roundtable on Commercialization from 2004 to 2006, and was a member of the Ottawa Innovation Hub committee. He chaired the Advisory Board for the Electronics department at Algonquin College for over 5 years, organized advisory forums for the Dean of School of Business at the University of Ottawa. Eli was part of the Editorial Board of the Ottawa Business Journal in 2009. Eli was the Chairperson of the 2001 NetVideoWorld.
In 2004, he was the Recipient of the Order of Ottawa for Economic Development, and was the Recipient of OCRI 2004 Civic Entrepreneur of the Year award.
