Daneille Smith is the Director of Partnership and Community at TWG. Danielle is a passionate community builder and master connector. With over a decade of experience building intersections across a range of stakeholders in tech-startup, VC, corporate, nonprofit, and higher education spheres, she’s dedicated to championing and supporting people and initiatives working to drive serious impact in the world.
As Marketing and Operations Manager at ScaleUP Ventures, Danielle works to build brand equity and connections across Canada to benefit ScaleUP’s LPs, portfolio companies, and its incredible roster of Corporate investors. Previously, Danielle led community engagement at The DMZ, where she interfaced with hundreds of startups, as well as a wider community of alumni companies, advisors and mentors, a global network of incubation partners, and hundreds of business development and service providers. Prior to DMZ, Danielle was part of the marketing team at NEXT Canada where she handled creative communications and program outreach (and where she first fell in love with the tech/startup scene!).
Danielle is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs in all stages of their success, and is dedicated to further building Canada’s reputation as a leader in the global entrepreneurial ecosystem.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University in Toronto, and an advanced diploma in Business Administration from Durham College.
