Cynthia currently serves as the Executive Director of the A100 – an organization of Alberta’s seasoned technology founders and executives. She has spent her career in not-for-profit environments combining a passion for what’s new and innovative with a love of the arts and a desire to give back to the greater community.
Cynthia’s broad experience spans the symphonic arts (Montreal Symphony Orchestra & Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra), the TMX (Montreal Exchange), and the startup entrepreneurial community — making her versatile with a high capacity to adapt to complex environment and industries.
Originally from Montreal, Cynthia has called Calgary home since 2006. She believes Alberta is an extraordinary province that has always celebrated its entrepreneurial roots and is proud to be an integral part of that spirit and energy.
Cynthia serves on the Advisory Board Calgary Chapter of #MoveTheDial, as well as being a member of SAAS NORTH Steering Committee.
In 2019, Cynthia was recognized as an Alberta SHEInnovator by SHEInnovatesAB – the first Canadian chapter of the UNWomen initiative SHEinnovates – a strategy to develop the innovation market to work better for women and to accelerate gender equality.
She was also named as one of BetaKit’s “80 Women in Canada Worth Following” in 2019.
Cynthia holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Her first language is French and she holds dual citizenship from Canada and the Netherlands. Cynthia spends her free time tackling new adventures with her husband and daughter.
