We know that some of you may still be apprehensive about attending an event in-person. So, we wanted to address the elephant in the room and help you feel comfortable attending SAAS NORTH.
We want you to know that the safety of our community is our priority.
As leaders in the conference space, we’ve been keeping an eye on large events that have taken place as per regulations across Canada, including Redblacks games at TD Place, which have been the largest events in Ottawa since the start of the COVID-19. Elsewhere, Lions & Whitecaps games have occurred for some time in Vancouver, which have had no outbreaks. Blue Jays games are happening and they’re thinking of increasing the capacity beyond 15,000 people. These are just a few encouraging examples that show that large events are safe when hosted properly.
Ontario has recently announced they’ll be easing capacity limits
for indoor and outdoor settings where proof of vaccination is required; which shows that large events are safe when hosted and organized properly, especially with an entirely vaccinated audience!
In fact, research is showing that attending a large in-person business event is safer than many daily activities and does not increase COVID-19 cases. According to scientific modeling by the Exhibitions and Conferences Alliance and Epistemix, in-person business meetings pose a near-zero (0.001%) risk of COVID-19 transmission with proper safety protocols in place.
SAAS NORTH will operate with the following protocols in place:
