Meghan Herman is the head of the inclusion and innovation strategy at one of Canada’s leading tech companies, Shopify. Her work focuses on how to leverage diversity of thought and inclusion as a strategic asset and a driver of growth and innovation. This work leverages over a decade of experience in strategic human resources focused largely on the development of global diversity talent strategies and the development of new pipelines of talent. Meghan complements this professional focus on the value of diversity with ongoing work in the community with organizations that support newcomers to Canada, in particular, ethnic women. Meghan’s leadership in this area is made possible in part by a perspective about the world, and Canada’s place in it, developed thanks to experience in over 45 countries in Asia, Europe and Africa.
